1. Introduction

This document lays out rules which all tournaments and their qualifiers operated under the Quickline Gaming Series, specifically for Rocket League, will be governed by. This rulebook aims at providing and codifying a structured and consistent set of rules and standards enforceable across all levels of competition for every player partaking in the Quickline Gaming Series

1.1 Purpose

Participation in any competitions part of the Quickline Gaming Series is conditioned to the acceptance of the following rules and standards (collectively the “Rules”):

  • The rules and penalties contained in the present Quickline Rocket League specific rules, as updated, amended or supplemented from time to time (this document).
  • The Quickline Code of Conduct. Setting forth the acceptable behaviour of each player, service or representative must follow when participating.
  • The Quickline Terms and Conditions.

Each player, team leader, and representative must read, understand and agree to these Rules, and particularly the Code of Conduct, to participate in Quickline Gaming Series events.

1.2 Acceptance and Modification of the Rules

1.2.1 Acknowledgement and Acceptance

Each player, team leader, and team or service representative must read, understand and agree to these Rules and any other documentation as listed under Quickline or the Quickline Gaming Series. By accepting these Rules, the players, team leaders, and team or service representatives’ consents to the measures and/or definitive sanction or sanctions, preliminary conservative measures and/or definitive sanctions as defined and set forth in these Rules, without prejudice.

These Rules may be deemed as accepted either through the registration process of any Quickine Gaming Series competition or deemed accepted when a Player or its Team enter and/or participate into any tournament or match within a Quickline Gaming Series competition. This acceptance extends to any representative of a Team.

Players and their Team may not participate if they do not agree to be bound to these Rules or otherwise do not meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the Rules.

1.2.2 Modification of the Rules

In order to ensure that the Quickline Gaming Series is operated in accordance with the values conveyed by the Code of Conduct and Terms of Service, or for the protection of any interest that Quickline considered material in order to preserve the values, legitimacy and integrity of the Quickline Gaming Series, or in order to comply with any applicable law, Quickline and Tournament Officials may amend, or supplement these Rules with or without prior notice. Quickline and Tournament Officials may also change part of, or the entirety of, the format and eligibility requirements for the Quickline Gaming Series with a reasonable notice before said modified parts are executed upon.

Any modification of these Rules in relation to eligibility requirements and format will be communicated or made available to the Teams either through the update of a revised version of these Rules by document, or by notification via the official Quickline Discord server.

1.3 Player Responsibility

It is the responsibility of Players to help ensure fellow Participants are abiding by the rules laid out in this document. If a Player wishes to flag an infringement that effects a live match, they must do so before or during the live match (e.g. an opponent not using the correct Epic Games Name as listed on their Quickline Tournament Profile whilst in game, or any other eligibility infringement). Tournament Officials cannot apply the necessary sanctions if such issues are raised multiple games, hours or days after the infringement took place as to maintain the integrity and schedule of the competition, or at the very least, will impact their ability to apply such sanctions.

2. Eligibility and Team Composition

2.1 Player Eligibility

All participants must reside within a Quickline serviceable area, this is checked upon registration of the Tournament Platform. Any attempts to circumvent this check or participate outside of a Quickline serviceable region will result in removal from any Quickline Gaming Series competition and withholding of any prize earnings.

2.3.2 Substitutes

This Quickline Rocket League event is 1v1 only and this each team only consists of 1 player. You cannot substitute your position in the tournament with another eligible user or allow another player to participate under your account or information.

2.4 Verification

You may be required to provide verification of your eligibility at any point during participation of any Quickline Gaming Series competition. This includes but is not limited to your Epic Games account name, age and residential status/address. This may be conducted using a form of identification such as a driver’s license, passport or birth certificate and a recent service bill which shows your home address.

2.5 Communication

When a Team/player registers to any form of competition for the Quickline Gaming Series. That team/player agrees to be active in communication with Tournament Officials in accordance with any stipulations of competition play, or the Code of Conduct.

Support communication or Admin communication with individual participants must be conducted through either the Discord linked above or the Support Ticket system on the Quickline Gaming Series website. Any correspondence attempts through DM may be ignored or any actions stated in private messaging may not be binding. This is to ensure all Tournament Officials have access to ongoing discussions and that transcripts can be generated of said discussions, which can be provided to both the Tournament Officials and the user(s) involved for clarity.

2.6 Confidentiality

All contents of tickets, support requests, and correspondence with the Admins or Tournament Officials, or Quickline in any Quickline Gaming Series competition are to be treated confidentially and may not be published in picture, text or in analogous reproduction. Publication requires agreement from Quickline.

3. Format

This qualifier uses a scaling format to allow for a changing number of registered teams. Exact group and bracket sizes will be determined on the number of registered teams.

  • Stage 1: Round Robin Group Format
  • Stage 2: Single Elimination Bracketincluding position break game for 3rd place

3.1 Seeding Methodology

Where applicable, this tournament may be seeded to determine a more balanced format. This information will be collected via any players Epic Games names and their tracked game statistics for the 1v1 game mode.

Seeding will not necessarily be completed for all participants and could be cutoff at a certain value, with any un-seeded participants being placed within the initial match ups at random. This will be determined based off final player numbers.

If you signup to the tournament too close to the signup window closing, your game statistics may not be taken into account.

3.2 Match Setup

Lobby settings should be as follows:

  • Server: Europe
  • Game Mode: Private Match
  • Size: 1v1
  • Match Time: 5 minutes

The team listed as the “Home” team in a given fixture must host the custom lobby.

Teams may only start the match once: maps have been selected and both teams have confirmed they are ready to start. If the no show time has been reached, maps selected, and there are enough players to start the match the lobby host can start the game but must inform the other team they will be doing so.

3.3 Map Selection

The host may select any of the standard competitive maps from the active map pool which includes:

  • DFH Stadium
  • Urban Central
  • Beckwith Park
  • Utopia Coliseum
  • Mannfield
  • Wasteland
  • Aquadome
  • Neo Tokyo
  • Champions Field
  • Farmstead
  • Salty Shores
  • Forbidden Temple
  • Neon Fields
  • Deadeye Canyon
  • Sovereign Heights
  • Estadio Vida
  • Drift Woods
  • Futura Garden

3.3.6 Map Changes

Players may request a map change on the basis on their limited FPS on a specific map. Any map disputes are to be actioned by the tournament manager who may force a map selection.

3.4 Remakes

In the first 2 minutes of the match either team can request a match remake provided the following criteria are met:

  • The match has been played for less than 90 seconds
  • No goals have been scored.
  • At the time of the remake request, there was not a reasonable chance for a goal from the opposing team. If there is disagreement over this, the replay must be sent to the tournament admin for review.

No team can request for more than 1 remake per series, outside of mutually agreed instances for issues affecting both teams.

Teams may request a late remake from the admin team if they believe there is a bug that is affecting the competitive integrity of the match. It is then for the tournament manager to decide if the match should be remade or not.

3.5 Group Tiebreaks

In case teams are on the same score within the group stage, these tiebreak methods will be applied in the order below:

  • Head 2 Head
  • Game Difference
  • Goal Difference
  • Tiebreaker Match

3.6 Timekeeping

3.6.1 Check-In

  • Check-in for the Quickline Rocket League tournament will start at 11:00 BST through to 12:30 BST on September 6th.
  • If a team does not check-in during this period you will not be granted admission to the tournament, as it is assumed that the team is unable to play.
  • All times on the website are BST.

3.6.2 No Shows

Teams have 10 minutes from the scheduled start time of their fixture to be in the match lobby and ready to play. If a player is not in the lobby and or is not ready to start within the 10 minute time limit said team will forfeit the match.

If teams are still participating in an earlier fixture of the tournament the no show rules no longer apply to the scheduled start time and instead starts 5 minutes after their previous fixture is completed.

In a multi-match series players have 10 minutes from the scheduled start time of their fixture to be in the match lobby and ready to play. If a player is not ready at this time they will forfeit the first match in the series. Said team will then have an additional 5 minutes to be in the match lobby and ready to play the next match in the series, or will have the match and the entire series forfeited.

If a player forfeits 2 matches in a series they forfeit the whole series.

If a player does not notify Tournament Officials of a known or approved delay, and the opponent is the only player that raises your absence, you will forfeit that game or series.
Tournament admins reserve the right to change these timings if circumstances require it.

3.6.3 Breaks

Players are allowed a 5-minute break between tournament fixtures, if the previous fixture overran.

Players may take a maximum of 10 minutes break between matches in a series running on time.

4. Screenshots / Match Recordings

Teams should take screenshots of the scoreboard at the end of the match for submission to the tournament platform along with the score.

We would suggest players record the match in case of any disputes.

In the case of any conflict in result, screenshots and recordings will be referred to. If neither team provided proof of the match result, the team's match histories will be reviewed.

When reporting rule infractions to admins it is necessary for teams to provide proof of the incidents in the form of a screenshot or preferably a recording of the whole incident.

Editing any form of screenshot or recording of a match that is to be submitted to admins as evidence is strictly forbidden.

  • Verbal Warning
  • Written Warning

  • Communication Ban
  • Game Forfeiture
  • Match Forfeiture

  • Permanent ban from any Quickline Gaming Series competitions or activities
  • Reduction and/or removal of accumulated points in any given points system or structure
  • Reduction and/or withholding of all prize earnings either monetarily or otherwise.

7. Spirit of the Rules

It is at the discretion of the Tournament Manager to modify any of the rules above for any reason. The rules are most likely to be amended in the following cases (without limitation):

If a different patch/version release is used and modifications to the rules are necessary to ensure fair play.

If a game-breaking bug is discovered during the course of the tournament.

If players are suspected or proven to be engaging in unfair play or collusion to fix the results of a game.

If changes to game settings and/or operations guidelines are necessary due to differences between online and offline tournaments.

If there are substantial delays to a tournament that would prevent it from concluding in a timely fashion.

In the event that a rule amendment is made, teams will be informed immediately of the changes made and the reasons why, via the tournament’s main communication channels.

All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules lie solely with the Tournament Manager, the decisions of which are final.
