Quickline Gaming Series - Code of Conduct V1
Quickline in conjunction with EPIC.LAN League Operations is committed to providing a fair, respectful and professional competitive environment that reflects the values upheld by the Quickline community. Our code of conduct outlines the behaviour and standards that we expect from all participants.
This code of conduct applies to all aspects of the tournament, including in-game behavior, social media activity, and interactions with officials and fellow competitors. Violations of these standards will result in appropriate actions to maintain the integrity of the event.
General Conduct
- Treat competitors, teammates, staff and spectators with respect.
- Maintain professional standards and avoid abusive language, harassment, discrimination or intimidation.
Competitive Integrity
- Play By the Rules: No hacking, cheating, exploiting or equipment tampering.
- Be on Time: If you sign up, show up. If you show up, be on time.
- Try Your Best: Give it all you've got. Intentionally throwing games or series is considered match-fixing.
Communication and Language
- Be Respectful: No offensive or threatening behaviour will be tolerated towards staff or opponents.
- Don’t Cross the Line: Avoid swearing or trash talking.
- Community Driven: Embrace the community spirit and maintain a positive atmosphere during the event.
Should any of the above conditions be contravened, Quickline in conjunction with EPIC.LAN League Operations will take a zero tolerance approach and therefore reserves the right to undertake any of the following actions:
- Demotion of the player or entire team out of their current tournament stage
- Removal of the player or entire team from the whole tournament
- Ejection of the player or whole team from the event with no refund
- Full or partial removal of prize monies and future event tickets
- Banning from any future Quickline events or online activities
- Statements of poor conduct issued to the gaming media
- Referral to the relevant police authorities
- Any other action deemed appropriate by the Quickline management
We understand that people want to enjoy themselves, and we encourage that, and have had very few incidents in our long history, we want to keep the events that way. We expect team leaders to operate their teams in a responsible way, and any early warnings of any of the above guidelines being breached will initially be discussed with the team leader to resolve.
